She graduated from Stanley Medical College and went on to do her post-graduation from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune where she was awarded a Gold Medal for Academic Performance from the hands of Hon’ble Dr Abdul Kalam. She completed her Diplomat in National Board New Delhi from Madras Medical College, Chennai.
